Kati Hannken-Illjes

Dr. Kati Hannken-Illjes studied Sprechwissenschaft
(speech science), music pedagogy and communication studies.
Her interests are in rhetoric, narrative theory and argumentation studies.
Her
research focuses on intersections between narrativity and argumentation
and the role of argumentation in legal proceedings.
She has taught
classes in argumentation theory, legal rhetoric, narrative theory and performance studies.
After her research position in our group, she became lecturer at the language department in Jena. She remains closely affiliated with the law-in-action group.
